The Schedule View displays service jobs on a time-based grid, giving service managers a visual overview of engineer workloads, job assignments, and scheduling gaps.
Navigate to Service → Schedule.
Reading the Schedule
Jobs appear as colour-coded blocks arranged on a calendar grid. The horizontal axis represents time and the vertical axis lists engineers. Each block shows the job number, customer name, and job type. The block colour indicates job status: grey for Scheduled, blue for In Progress, and green for Completed.
Hover over any job block to see a tooltip with the job address, scheduled duration, and assigned engineer.
Switching the Time Range
Use the view controls at the top right to switch between time ranges:
Day — shows a single day divided into hourly time slots
Week — shows a rolling 7-day view
Month — shows a monthly overview with job counts per day
Click Today to return the schedule to the current date.
Scheduling a Job
Unscheduled jobs appear in the Unscheduled Jobs panel on the right side of the screen. To assign a job:
Locate the job in the Unscheduled Jobs panel.
Drag the job block onto the schedule grid at the desired time slot and engineer row.
The assignment is saved automatically.
Alternatively, click an empty time slot on the grid to open the job assignment dialog, select a job, and confirm the engineer and time.
Rescheduling and Reassigning
Drag any job block to a new position on the grid to change its scheduled time or assigned engineer. BMS updates the job record immediately. To reassign without changing the time, drag the block horizontally to a different engineer row.
Filtering the Schedule
Use the filter controls on the left-hand panel to focus the schedule view:
Engineer — show only the selected engineer's jobs
Job Type — filter by service category
Sales Area — restrict the view to a specific territory
Click Clear Filters to restore the full schedule.
Overlapping assignments. BMS does not block double-bookings. If the same engineer is assigned two jobs at the same time, both blocks appear in the same slot and are highlighted to indicate the conflict.
Completed jobs. Completed jobs remain visible on the schedule in their original time slot. Use the Status filter to hide completed jobs and focus on active work.
