In BMS CRM, Accounts represent companies and Contacts represent the people associated with those companies. The Contacts Index lists all the people in your CRM database. To browse companies, use the Accounts Index.

The Contacts Index

By clicking on the Contacts option in the CRM navigation, the Contacts Index will appear β€” a list of all contact people in the system. Clicking on a contact name takes you to the detail page for that person.

Contacts Search

At the top of the left menu bar you will find Contact Search. If you are looking for a specific person, this is the most efficient way to navigate directly to their record.

Ideally search by contact name, however other fields such as postcode or address will work.

Contacts Filter

As the Contacts Index can be very large, you will probably want to use the filter to narrow it down. See Filters and Pagination for more information.

Contacts Find

Another quick way to narrow the list is to apply a text filter on a column in the index. Use the Find button in the top right to do this.

Prev and Next Contact

When viewing a Contact, you can navigate to the previous or next contact (relative to the Contacts Index you last accessed) by clicking the Prev Contact or Next Contact links in the Summary Pane.

The previous and next links take into account any filtering you may have applied to the Contacts Index, and move sequentially through the filtered list.
