The Sales module produces a quote for a customer as a Sales Order PDF. Every build on a deal has an associated Sales Order, and once the deal is priced you can generate a PDF of that Sales Order to send to the customer as a quote.
Generating the Quote PDF
Once you have finished pricing your deal, open the linked Sales Order (the deal's Order Details section shows the Sales Order with a View in Stock Module link). From the Sales Order's dropdown menu, choose the option to generate a PDF. This PDF is how quotes are currently provided to customers.
What the Quote Includes
The Sales Order PDF presents the priced deal. Note that it is not an invoice and does not include remittance advice — it is a proposal document only.
Planned Enhancements
A fuller interactive quoting experience is planned for a future release, expanding quoting to include financing options and online customer approval. Until then, the Sales Order PDF is the supported method for providing a quote.
